motor swap

Default motor swap

i have a 91 blazer with the 4.3 and just got a 96 blazer with a bad motor will the mortors swap out i think the will but some one told me no they wont didnt think the 4.3 was any diff from year to year can anyone help me out i know i have to swap other stuff out

Not going to work. The blocks changed somewhat in '95-'96. The '91 block will not have provisions for a timing cover that has the CKP sensor in it, nor will the crank for the reluctor wheel on the end of the crank. Also, the 91 probably doesn't have a balance shaft. The heads are completely different as is the intake system..

ok then what is the closest year that i can do that with or just a 96 motor will do. i have a knock in the motor and am now looking at doing a swap?? dont think i can fix it today is the last day im going to try
