Default Multiple problems.

I have an 04 Trailblazer that I purchased from an individual with 191,000 miles. The motor runs great and everything works except the following. The first problem I noticed besides a dead battery was no brakes. The line to the left rear was severed and the booster was disconnected from the booster. I replaced the booster, caliper, brake line, and even the master cylinder. I still cannot get sufficient fluid to the back brakes. I tried to connect my diagnostic tool to the diagnostic link connector and was not able to read any codes. The connector was dead. Also, the key will not come out of the ignition. Can any of these problems be related? If so where can I go from here? I have replaced the battery and have a good battery now with no change.

First thing on no ODBII data is to see if you have 12V and two good grounds at the connector. Check pin 16 (12v) to pin 4 and then to pin 5.
