Default is my 2005 blazer stuck in 4 wheel drive

hey guys/girls
i just changed the front wheel hubs on my 2005 blazer with moog wheel hub bearings. i noticed the front wheels are hard to turn when the truck is jacked up.also still have the same common bad wheel bearing humming sound . i thought maybe a had a sticking brake caliper. my question is , should the front cv joints turn if the truck is in 2 wheel drive. when i spin the front tires the cv joints are turning as well. thanks for reading

If you just changed the front wheel hubs, you should have noticed that both CV joints will turn all the time. The passenger side front axle is disconnected inside the front diff case and the transfer case itself disconnects internally from the front driveshaft (although auto 4WD versions keeps some preload on the front). If you are not in 4WD, jack up the passenger front wheel (only passenger side) with the vehicle running - it should turn freely if it is in 2WD.
