Do you have a check engine kight? Does it start right back up or does it have to sit and cool down before it will start? Could be a coil or ignition module or even a fuel pump starting to fail. You need to get back to the basics and determine if it is getting fuel and fire next time it does this.

You need to pull the codes out of the computer... it stores them whether the check engine light is on or not. Next time it acts up you need to figure out if you are getting fire to the spark plugs... also need to check the fuel pressure with a fp gauge.
If you are really unsure as to what to do here then you will need to get a knowledgeable friend to help show you around under the hood or find a shop that will explain things to you.
Like I said before... If I had to guess, I would say it's either gonna be a coil or ignition module or fuel pump. I believe that you have something failing once it gets hot. But that is a GUESS on my part as I am not there so see for myself.
