Very strange. My cruise control used to work fine. I get the truck back.. it now seems not to.

Maybe I had a "stored code" but.. On the next drive out.. anything I do above 25MPH I should be able to set it. Selector in the middle, yes?

Wondering if it is just a fuse .

Check your ABS fuse

When I got my 04, the fuse was removed for whatever reason, and my cruise didn't work either. I put a fuse in it, and low and behold my cruise started working lol

That was definitely not my experience. I removed the fuse and the whole ABS module, and the light still wouldn't go out.

So while we are talking about the fuse, I pulled mine when I got the truck, but haven't gotten around to taking the system out, my cruise control worked up until last summer. I've owned the truck for a few years. I've debated on putting the fuse back in but haven't yet...

I Know i'ts off topic from the original but regarding the ABS. The computer keeps looking for the ABS circuit. As long as the abs isn't responding (either by pulling the fuse or taking out the whole unit) the light will stay on since it is generated by the PCM. You could take out the cluster and take the bulb out.

Thanks. I'm aware of that, and that's exactly how I "fixed" it. I'm going to stop hijacking this thread now.

93S10TahoeLT,
If you're sure it worked before, and you're sure it doesn't now, take it back to the shop so they can fix it. It's possible that a connector got overlooked or something. It happens sometimes. Give them a chance to make it right.
