Hi Everybody,
I have my Cheve Blazer 99 LT has 14100sh Miles and sometimes when I do the brake it seems like hitting the ground till the ABS signal comes on dont have this problem. I took it to a mechanic he told me the brakes and the rotors needs to be replaced. He replaced them for $400.00 but still have the same problem. Any body have an idea how to know what is the problem esp the winter is coming and I live in MI

*Moved to 2nd Gen Tech* - Please read through the forum section descriptions as found on the home page and choose appropriately. Thanks!
If you are getting low speed activation of the ABS system, check out the wheel speed sensors. They are fairly easy to test with a multimeter set to the mV-AC scale while spinning the wheel. GM has a technical service bulletin about this issue and it is covered in the Tech Article (DIY) section (see the index of that section in my signature below).
Also, if the light is on, that means that codes were stored. Even after the light turns out, ABS codes should still be stored in the EBCM (electronic brake control module). Generic scan tools cannot access ABS codes so you may have to find someone with an enhanced scan tool to be able to read them.
And gio, please just respond to the question or with a welcome, but leave the moderation to the staff of the forum.
