Default Mystery Wire

The other day I was checking the fluids and air filter while I filled my gas tank.

And noticed this wire coming out from under the air filter housing.

Can anyone identify it and know where it goes?

It is the red one with connector.

Not sure but if everything works it looks like an add-on that someone removed.

True, could be for power, could have been connected to the underhood fuse block

Could it be for the trailer towing package? There is a wire that gets placed on the screw terminal in the fuse box when installed.

Whatever it was for doesn't look like a backyard job. It was nice work.

Here is where I found that info. There should also be a blue wire down there too.

Boy, that sure looks like it. Nice and neat.
I don't think I would put it back on without a lite jumper fuse in-between. It well may have been left off do to a short someplace.
