I have no idea what is going on with my brakes. Somebody please help! OK, so first off, my pedal goes down to the floor..... sometimes. I can sit it the blazer when its idling in PARK and the pedal feels different, but it doesn't go ALL the way down. When I drive it the first stop I make is just about normal, but if I hold the pedal down for an extended period of time it just keeps going further and further until it just about hits the floor and then the Brake light comes on that has the (!)(P) symbols. The brake light only comes on though when the pedal is at its furthest point down and it goes off when I lift my foot. The blazer still stops at this point, but barely.... I checked for leaks and nothing that is brake fluid. The reservoir is full. I've read some other posts and I have pulled the ABS fuses... nothing. I thought maybe the the ABS module was the problem so I unplugged every connector that plugged into the module and still nothing. Anyone else have an idea? It just seems like the brakes are losing hydraulic pressure, but I don't know what the problem is... Like I said, no leaks.
Thanks in advance,
Zach

That's funny (in a sad kind of way).
I came on here to find help with this (almost, probably) exact problem.
Mine started when I just replaced the rear common brake line due to a serious leak.
I've bled them over & over but I still have no pedal when I drive it. When I'm sitting withe engine idling I have ~OK brake pressure but as soon as I drive it the pedal pretty much goes to the floor & I almost can't stop.
I've seen posts that say that there is a special ABS bleed procedure but a link from another thread says that the RWAL ABS system doesn't require any special procedure to bleed. That link was to a service manual for a 91/92/93? & mine is a 96 but I would doubt that it should be very different.
Any suggestions?
I'm leaning toward master cylinder but I don't want to spend the $ if I'm missing something stupid...er...I mean, easy.
Come on guys, help us out here.

Its sucks though cuz I haven't done anything to my brakes... That's why I thought it would have been a rusted line or an electrical problem...

I figured it out.
I disconnected the ABS module & now I have AWESOME brakes.

So, now you have no anti-lock brake function?
Was/is the ABS controller bypassing fluid pressure in error?

I was told to properly bleed the brake and hydraulic box was to bleed them then slam on the brakes at 30 mph and then re bleed them. Thus the slamming on the brakes engaged the box and allows you to bleed the entire system then. Not to sure though cause im at the same point as everyone else here lol
Finity, did you just disconnect the 3 connectors that go to you box. Just wondering cause I really dont need to have abs brakes.

Yes, my ABS will no longer work. Well, I assume so. That is the logical outcome for disconnecting the ABS controller. I haven't had the "opportunity" to test it yet.

I have no idea.
All I do know is that with the unit connected I had almost NO brakes at all. With it disconnected I have GOOD (dare I say "great") brakes.
Is there an easy way to check it or repair it, if so?
Yup, that's exactly what I did.
