Need help - new to 4WD...

nope. the only thing your need to do it yank on that lever. i guess you were telling the truth when you said you've never used a 4WD system before. these trucks make it really simple to use.
like i said, just yank on that lever. if you're gonna use 4LO, just make sure you're completely stopped before going in that range.
and i'll give you some advice before it can happen to you. if you get your t-case into neutral and it won't go into 4LO, and then won't go into 4HI again, just shut off your engine. when it stops, you can shove it into which ever range you'd like.
while i had this happen to me, it was a no brainer for what i had to do. but since you're new to using a 4x4, and a little weary, i thought i'd pass the knowledge along-before you might need it.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm more than a newb when it comes to 4x4. I've just never had a use for it. All of the off-roading I have done has been in the desert and as long as the sand wasn't too loose I was fine with 2wd as long as I didn't stop. Though, I did get stuck a few times.
