Default Need help replacing license plate light bulbs

Might sound like a stupid question but how to change license plate light bulb on my 2000 chevy blazer? I can't figure out how to get the capsules out to get to the light without breaking it or snapping anything. Thanks.

that's what you would think. It is completely blocked off. There is no access to the bumbs or harness from under the bumber. From researching the issue some more, it seems like the capsules are to be pried off with a flat head screwdriver.

what you have to do is...............grab the lens assby, lift it up allittle-popping the bottom out allittle then work the top out, thus releasing the lens unit from the bumper. Now the socket, housing the bulb can come out of the backside. Turn it counterclockwise and the socket will come out, revealing the bulb. Change the 194 bulb and re-assemble reverse of the above...good luck-hope this helps to comply with some (my) state laws-don't eat too much turkey. Jerry
