Need a little help
i have a 1997 Blazer that i just purchased and there is a ball thing hanging under the hood that the washer hoses hook up 2 that is broken. Anyone know what it is called and where i can find one? also the AC needs recharged what kind of freon do they require?armyboy212001@msn.com
i hate to tell you but freon doesnt go away if its low/empty its leaking and thats a fact. i will gladly post pictures of my degrees in hvac and many other gm automotive courses.
we must get 100people a year that come in the dealership and say my AC JUST needs to be charged.. sorry but doesnt happen.. under your hood will tell you where.

pretty sure your talking about the vacuum resevoir. those are vacuum lines that come out of it. pretty easy to find at your local store for not much. as for the freon originally came with r-134a. not sure where you live but here in canada they wont sell it to you anymore. you can buy other stuff r-12 i think but i hear its not a good idea. your mechanic should be able to charge you up with the good stuff
Yep, that's not a washer line, but a vacuum line and the ball you are talking about is the vacuum reservoir for the vacuum powered accessories like the HVAC system and some of the 4wd engagement parts if so equiped.
97 would be R134A. R134A should be available just about anywhere, it is the R12 that is getting forced out due to its environmental impact.
