New battery/rpms question
I installed a new Deka Ultimate battery into my 04 Blazer this afternoon, and noticed something strange..
I think with the stock battery it idled at 100,000 rpms, now it's half that. And when I went to put it in reverse to back out the driveway, it dipped quickly and almost stalled but came right back up to the 50,000 rpms
I drove it down the street for about 10 minutes and it ran fine, but I'm noticing my rpms are "spiking" when I hit the gas when before it was a gradual climb and decline of rpms when accelerating and breaking.
Maybe it was always like that with the stock battery but I'm just noticing it now because I was looking.

100,000 rpms is like...centrifugal seperation of materials at the atomic level...
The battery shouldnt really effect your RPMs though I don't think...the alternator maybe...not the batt

Maybe the alternator was trying to charge the new battery or something?
I was thinking more along the lines of a failing battery can take the alternator with it...so now youve got a new battery, and a bad alternator...causing power issues at low RPMs.
