Default New Blazer Owner- Bought a used 2 door

Hi all. Sean here. I am new to blazers after just buying a 2002 2wd 2 door. I have some questions about different things and figured I'd just post them here than in individual threads - hope you don't mind.

The truck is in great shape but it does have 150,000 miles on it. That being said, it needed shocks all the way around so I bought a complete set of monroe sensa-track's (load levelers for the rear). How hard is it to put shocks on this thing? I've worked on Jeeps and other domestics before, just never a blazer.

It also had play in the steering box, so I've got a new one waiting to go on.

In the engine side of things, it starts and idles great, but if I try to try to hold a certain speed it feels like it starts slugging down, or hesitating maybe, and then eases back up. It's very intermittent. What could this be? fuel filter, plugs, wires, coil, distributor, etc? Something worse?

I also got a "fuel tank pressure sensor" code from the scanner and picked one up, but I have no idea about dropping the fuel tank. What should I keep in mind?

Thanks alot for the information.

Sean.

Do not attempt to just drop the tank. Lower it slowly a few inches and stop and look. You have unforgiving plastic lines going to plastic barbs on the fuel pump that snap off easily when side loaded. I suggest you just lower it enough to reach in and replace the sensor if you do lower it. I have R&R'd the pressure sensor on a 2 door without lowering the tank. Remove the drivers side rear wheel and carefully pry it up with a screwdriver. Put a little oil on the new one before you try to push it in, it'll make it easier.
