guys, it was a weak battery! The truck sat for 10 hours today and started right up!. I got a new battery yesterday but it was not fully charged from the shop so my long start continued until I fully charged it. I am going to check the spark situation for the hell of it. One more question..... The alternator is pushing 14.6 volts when I turn truck off the battery only contains 12.96 volts. doesnt that seem kind of low???

thanks!!

how easily does the engine turn when the starter tries to turn it over? is it sluggish, shuddered, slow? or sound like it should be cranking?

12.96 volts is perfectly fine for a fully charged 12 volt battery.

Guys, the truck sat over night and in the morning still had 20 PSI of fuel pressure. it started right up and I drove it for 30 miles, no problems I have 3 issues I need to address before winter hits us in New York. Can you give me some advice?

1-) rear end cover is extremely rotted, how do I know if I have a 8.5 or a 7.5? its a 4wd loaded 1995.

2-) my mother big coolie destroyed the seat foam on the drivers seat. anyone make new seat foams?

3-) door pins are shot on the driver side door. going to do it this weekend. the holes did not ovalize thank god.

I did not do a spark or compression test yet. I do have the tools for it.
