So I have 12 volts at the pump! I am working on this by myself so no way for me to hear the pump to see if it's coming on or not! I only put a gallon or so of fuel in it and ran it for a bit yesterday does it need more gas to get into the pump? The truck is parked on a slight hill with the back being lower so the fuel should be going towards the pump!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can attach a pressure tester on the end pump output and hit the key and see if the pump is coming home that way. All fuel flow should stop at the tester.

It was just out of gas! Or at least too low to be picked up by the pump at least. I put 3 gallons in and she fired right up! Drove it around since I had never driven this truck while my dad owned it and it runs good, have a brake nose I have to troubleshoot next. Needs a lot of minor stuff but I can pick away at that stuff!!

If the pump is working, you would hear it inside the truck when you turn the key.

Sweet! Glad it's working for you! Always check the simple stuff first, right?

The pump is a cheap 62.00 one from JC Whitney. It's a free truck and not even sure if we will keep it! I cannot hear the pump in the truck the buzzer goes off when I turn the key and thats all I can hear!

So far it's still running and working good.
