I am telling you that the calipers are shot, you can take my advice and spend the $100 to replace both or keep chasing an issue that doesn't exist.

I learned from experience... everything you are going through I did, would go away momentarally then I would hop out of the truck and I would have that ever familiar smell.

I replaced everything before I replaced the calipers, now I wish I would have just replaced the calipers first and been done with it.

If they have been hot enough to cause the rotors to have a blue tint, replace all of it. Loaded remanufactured calipers with the brackets, and replace the rotors as well. Whenever you service the rear brakes, replace all of it and you won't have a problem. As you're finding out, it's cheaper in the long run to do the job right, one time, and be done with it.

It doesn't sound like you toasted the heck out of the Pads. Just run some 60 grit sandpaper on the face of them and reinstall.

The Movement of these rear calipers is so little as compared to the larger front ones. This Slide Seizing does happen.
Always make sure you pull those slides out totally and goop them up good when you do rear brakes.

You can just buy the Replacement Brackets with Slides. These rear calipers are not too expensive.. Then it's all done.

Thanks for the info Tony.... everything I tried to get the pins out.... they would not budge..even after soaking them down with pb blaster.... they are STUCK........ I will try that with the pads..... they do not look bad at all.... When I did the front brakes, it was a piece of cake... the back ones are a nightmare......

Yeah, one of my rears had a Frozen in Slider when my daughter first bought it. I even took the bracket off and heated it cherry red.. nothing.
I decided to start off fresh with this New-to-me vehicle and bought new Calipers.

Take that 60 grit sandpaper, lay it on the workbech and then slide the Brake pad on it like you are waxing the car.

i know this post is old but for those other people that might be having this issue its not always the calliper that is sticking. sometimes its the slider pins that hold the calliper to the mount that are sticking and will also make it smoke...so try cleaning those up real good and put fresh lube on them....just for reference
