Default new vacuum lines, burning smell?

i just got a few vacuum lines replaced. i have no clue where they go to, i just told my mechanic that there were a few cracking over the brake booster ( drivers side right near brake fluid reservoir). he replaced as many as he saw cracked (idk how much the bill didnt come in) i noticed a burning smell right near the fuse box and brake fluid rservoir (in between that general area where i noticed new vacuum lines)

i did also notice a screw in the end of one of the T's of vacuum lines making it and L instead of a T if that makes sense.

can anyone shed light on this problem?

He probably gave up looking for the vacuum reservoir in the driver fender and plugged the line. Take a few pics, from different angles, and post them.

The black port on the Tee/check valve goes to manifold vacuum, near the PCV valve. Must have vacuum with the engine running.

The white port on the Tee/check valve with the screw, goes to the transfer case vacuum switch or the electric switch (if equipped) on the firewall.

The other white port goes to another Tee:
One side goes to a black plastic hard line for the HVAC system. It appears to be correct.

The other side of the Tee goes a smaller vacuum line that goes to the vacuum reservoir in the left fender. The nipple is between the firewall and the ABS unit, tough to see/find. Gotta use the "eyes" in your fingers to find it.

you say the port with the screw goes to the transfer case, would 4wd be affected? because thats the first thing i checked and it switched to auto 4wd fine

and this also might be a silly question. but new vacuum lines dont need to be broken in causing a burning smell would it?

The line with the screw is supposed to go to the canister in the fender.

As for the burning smell, check to make sure he didn't put a new line that's too close or resting on the exhaust.
