New water pump, new thermostat NO HEAT!!
Did you have the coolant system flushed and refilled? When you run the heater, does the fan operation sound normal? Are there any unusual noises from the lower right side of the dashboard area? Is there a wet area in the passenger floorboard?
Flushed and cleaned my coolant system today and the heathoses are getting hot but I'm still not getting any heat! My mechanic told my that the heater core could be clogged and/or the temperature **** 'In car thermostat" is not working. Hew also doubted that the heater core was bad!!Any other ideas?
Mine was doing that till I figuired out how to get it to work and I know there is something wrong with mine. Before I start the truck I have all the controls off and ready for heat. I start my truck then turn on the heat and it works, as soon as I move my temp **** over to cooler just to have a nice climate it starts blowing cold. If I repeat what I did before it works fine. Just a suggestion for rigging it I guess, otherwise it may just be the switch.
If both of you're heater hoses are the same temperature (hot), then it's a control or heat door problem. If there is a difference in temperature between the 2 heater hoses, then the heater core is at least partially plugged.
