Hey folks...Im a Ford guy & know nothing about Chevys...

I need to know what tranny is in my brothers Blazer...Its a 96 with an auto ,4x4

Thanks alot & if this is in the wrong section Im sorry...

It'll be the 4L60E with the one piece main transmission case (i.e. does not have the removable bell-housing).

So no chance it would be a 700R4??

If not could a 700R4 replace the 4L60E ??

Nope. And no, a 700R4 cannot replace a 4L60E without quite a bit of hassle and programming changes.
