Default Removing headlights.

I am assuming that a Jimmy is the GMC version of the Blazer. So therefore I have come in search of knowledge. The Jimmy I am looking at is a wreck. Needs a good detailing and I have plans to follow the de-oxidizing headlights procedures but I need to know where to start with removing the headlights. Any help could be of assistance. Thanks

Nathan

Yeah, there are two plastic clips per side that are located behind the radiator core support. Pull up and they will release the light, then you have to tip the top edge of the light out and pick up to disengage the tabs from the slots in the core support. Disconnect the wiring and it'll be free.

Well, that is for any '98+ Jimmy anyway... Not too sure on the '96-'97...

96 is different. Book says to remove battery and air cleaner box for access from the back - pain in the butt.

However easiest way is to remove the grill and unbolt the light assembly'sfrom the adjustment frame -they will fallforward into your hand. Out and back in takes about 30 minutes.
