Default no dash lights

i have an 99 blazer ls w/80900 miles on it, and when i was going home, i noticed that my dash/ cluster lights didn't come on or even my daytime running light the next day. i've check all the fuse inside and under the hood and the only one that dosent light up on the test light is the illumination one on the inside and, i have replace the headlight switch and it solved the problem for a little bit and the dash and compass/temp went out all at once. Now i dont know what to do i was thinking of taking the cluster apart to check for soldering or if i need a new cluster and probably a new headlight switch? what about the daytime running lights?

thanks

This really didn't have anything to do with the odometer & PRND321 display inop thread you originally posted it in so I am moving it to a new thread. Your problem seems to center around the backlighting in the instruments as well as inop DRLs.

Have you checked the DRL relay?
