Default No Heat

So I have Just cold air blowing through my vents. I understand this would be and issue with the heater core and the hoses needing to be cleaned out. Could a faulty Thermostat also cause the heat not to work? Just curious

Thanks for the help

Do a quick search here for flush heater and you should be able to find the procedure..pretty easy. The thermostat has almost zero to do with the heat unless it's stuck fully open in a very cold climate. The two main causes of no heat are clogged core and the blend door which allows the cabin air to go through the heater core. If both your heater hoses on the firewall are hot then you most likely have a blend door problem. If one or both are cool then your core is plugged. Also there is no water valve that controls flow to the heater core....water circulates all the time.

Thanks for the info I will look into that. I have read up on heater flushing just seems like a pain. I guess it will be easier and cheaper than doing the thermostat thought. I will take a look at that and see what I find.
Thanks for the help

Also first make sure it is full of coolant and any air is burped out.
