Default NO HEAT IN BLAZER!!

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about not having heat inside my blazer. I turn it on and the fan comes on but it is just blowing cold air. ANd then I shut off the car and turned it back on and the fan wouldn't come on at all and it comes on doing this. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone know anything? Thanks in advance

Carlo

I`m not sure about not having heat in your blazer since ive never been in it, but all joking aside... How is the level in the radiator? if you turned off the blower switch and it didnt come back on make sure the contact plug on the blower motor is on correctly.. Jiggle it if ya have to.. Have you done any repairs on it rec involving the antifreeze system?

The rad is full and I haven't done anything involving the antifreeze system. Its a 95 blazer with 260,000 clicks so it is getting old but I don't why it would just go. Where's the contact plug on the blower motor and how do I access it?

Does the engine come up to proper operating temperature? Also, what are you workin' on here? A little vehicle information will help us give accurate information for you.

I explained it to a guy that works with me and he said it may be the blower motor or could be the heater core? Does this sound right and is there anything I can do myself to try and fix it or check what it is?

Sounds like a 2 part problem, no heat and intermittent blower fan.
Check the 2 heater hoses and see if they are the same temperature, if they are the heater core is fine, if one is hot and the other is cold you have a plugged heater core.
As far as the fan working intermittently, look for loose connections or remove and inspect the blower motor resistor.

Yep, I was going to say the same thing. Sounds like you have two problems.

I would get the fan figured out first and see if that influences your heat problem.
