Been doing some research and I just wanna know if I am missing something:

PROBLEM: I use DRL and yesterday morning my dash, compass, radio, and heating ***** were all lit up as they should due to darkness. Yesterday evening they were not lit up due to darkness. The radio worked although not lit up. Today all the items (compass and radio) were lit because the DRL did not kick in for darkness mode.

I check all fuses and nothing seems defunked. I did some research and apprently it could be one of two things and possibly both.

1. Headlight switch is shot
2. Ground wire near spare tire not grounding

Is there anything else it could be?

 

The dash light dimming wheel is most likely getting an intermittent contact connection. Do the lights come on if you rotate the wheel? If so, try squirting some electrical contact cleaner in there and rotate the wheel back and forth to clean it.

 

If you mean that when I turn the wheel all the way that the interior lights come on, then yes they do. Other than that nothing happens.

 

No, I mean do the dash lights dim or brighten when you turn the wheel.
