This problem just started. When you turn the key to the start position nothing. No clicks or anything. In the on posistion all the interior lights, headlights, radio, etc.... work fine proceed to turn to start position all goes out and nothing untill you go back to on position. If I keep trying after a while it will fire right up and run fine? Also in the on position the volt meter reads like 9-11 volts?
I'm very mechanically inclined so any help would be great. Also in the summer I printed out someones step by step pictures on replaceing the intake gaskets. Went great. Thanks for that one and my horn issue.... fixed.

check the two big cables from battery.. probably the pos battery term, since lights work till you try to crank it.

I'll give that a try. Probably tomorrow though. I worked all day yesterday, went in last night for a project till 2am, then worked today. Sleepy time for Matt.

So of course it won't act up now. The battery cables were slightly loose. Maybe 3/4 of a turn on each. Started it 50+ times. Let it run and get good and warmed up and still starts and runs like a new car. I'll keep ya posted.

So it erred everyday up until today. Same thing. Takes about 20 tries before it will finally turn over and it starts right up? Where do I go from here?

New Battery , your battery may have froze , or could be just a default in the battery . If you have a good battery charger with engine start put it on it and it should start right up . My brothern laws truck did the same thing yesterday .

I would start with testing the Battery make sure all the conections are clean and tight at the battery the starter all the grounds
Now check your Neutral Safety Switch, Starter Relays, Ignition Relay(There are not the same), Ignition Starter Switch

Been a while since I figured it out. Sorry I haven't posted an update. It ended up being the starter. Fun job that was.
