Ok i may regret hearing what the problem with my blazer is but here goes. I have a 1999 LS 4x4. When it first starts up it has a lound clicking sound in the engine, like a valve , but after about 5 miles the clicking stops and everything returns to normal. Also when this clicking occurs the oil pressure is reading between 55-60, but after it quiets it goes back to 40-42. Any ideas?

It sounds like even with that much oil pressure your having a bleed down effect!! What happens is that when you shut off your blaze the oil doesn't stay up in the heads and it drains down as it cools off!! Mine used to do that till I changed my oil and looked at my old filter I had on it and found it to have a bad seal that let it bleed down!! Yours may be something different but its an idea to what may be going on!! Did it just start doing it???

 

Yes it just started a few weeks ago. I changed the oil around 2 months ago, I think will change it again and see if that helps. Thanks!

 

That did the trick! I changed the oil and it did it the first few times I started but after that its quiet again. Thanks alot.
