Default Noticed water dripping out of the psgr side floor vent..

most obviously heater core.. also leaks/drips behind the psgr tire.. you can see the slow drip.. Verify that it is Heater Core..? 2002 4.3

Problem has been there for a year or more.. but today, while checking for any leaks after replacing freeze plug..i found one.. drip drip drip.. came inside and ran the air... a/c ran fine.... heater didnt.. ran warm a couple of seconds and stays cold now.. engine stays at 160/170.. water is leaking.. but sooooo slowly.. still eventually the leak will drain the Rad.. so.. to make a long post longer.. i checked the vents.. driver side.. ok.. but passenger had a small trickle/ drip running out.. floor mat was wet where the water had ran..used to keep a shamwow!! under the floor mat.. and in the summertime it stayed dry 75% of the time.. so what ya think.... Heater core?? I put K&W in the engine to seal any leaks from the freeze plugs.. will it help here??

my thoughts are much like yours... a bad or plugged core.

as for the K&W, i cant weigh in on that

does it smell like coolant on the floor?

Definitely sounds like a leaking core. I'd fix it. I wouldn't recommend the use of stop leak ever, but that's just me.

" does it smell like coolant on the floor?"

no.. and the reason why is.. that it's had a slow leak for awhile and i've just finally gotten around to patching/replacing/fixing the problem.. so it's been running mostly water!! Just drive back and forth to work.. 5 miles.. but now that i have acheived the exalted status of Unemployed PC Tech.. I have all the time I need..so I'm fixing everything from a to z

Stopped it at the source today.. took both hoses lose from the firewall and connected them together to make a bypass.. results.. no runs, no drips, no errors..

i recently bought a 2000 blazer and the previous owner told me the heater core was bad, but i still have heat. it smells like antifreez when the heats on, but theirs no wet spots or dripping. and no matter what setting i put the air on( defrost, regular, feet ,etc.) it comes out all the same it doesnt make a difference. could this be a reult of a bad heater core or something else.
