Default A number of problems

Hi guys,

I have a couple of issues:

Firstly, the airbag light keeps coming on and off intermittently.
Secondly, the turn signals keep changing speed, like one of the bulbs is out (it's not), sometimes the signals work at the correct speed and sometimes the don't. Switching them on and off seems to make no difference to the speed, and it doesn't seem to be due to anything, they change at random times.
Also the hazard lights will react in the same way (blink to fast).

Could this be the clockspring?

Should I be looking at replacing the signal flasher?

I have a 99 blazer (right hand drive), I cannot seem to locate the signal flasher. I have looked behind the glove box (left side), but it doesn't seem to be there!

Also, is it normal for there to be a small hissing sound in the dash after the engine has been turned off for about 3-4 seconds?
I also have the issue of putting my foot down and air coming full blast out of the defrost vents, plus while normal driving the air comes out of the face air vents more than it should (almost like the blower is on full blast), but its not, and I still have full control of the blower speed (except it seems to blow a lot of air), but changing from low to max does still respond.

Thanks!

For your airbag light. If your 99 is like my 2000, remove our center console and pull the carpet back. Your Airbag module should be under there. Mine did the same thing once and it was just the connector had come off the module. I plugged it back in tightly and no more air bag light.

Thanks for the reply Tajohns34, I believe the airbag module in the 99 is in the centre arm rest near the handbrake, I removed that and checked the connections, all seemed ok, I also checked the connectors underneath both front seats, they also seemed ok.
Not really sure what this is, I guess I will need to get the codes read to be sure.
Cheers

Also check the airbag sensors. I am not sure where they are located on a second gen, but there could be corrosion.

Should I disconnect the battery for 30 mins before messing with the airbag sensors?

Yes, never mess with airbags while the battery is connected.
