Note color of wires for pins 5 and 6 below. Supposedly these are the ones you need to jumper on a 1995. Found this multiple times. Pin #5 is a ground. Pin #6 is supposed to be field service mode which makes sense for flashing a light if it is capable. Photo you show does not have a pin 6 but I really doubt if that is the actual connector on your vehicle (looks like a photo printed on a page that someone wrote on). I have zero experience with 1995 and only found this info through the internet, so your luck may vary.

So first make sure your sticker under the hood does NOT say OBD2 certification. Then unfasten the 16 pin connector from the dash so you can see the wires going into the different positions. Find the black w/white stripe wire and the white w/black stripe wire. Jumper these at your own risk. Better to use a capable scanner I think. Some old Actrons and the Tech 2 and others are supposed to work.

Note that second info below implies that pin 6 is not always present. If that is the case and you can't find the white wire w/black stripe, I don't see how you will get it to flash any codes.

Hope this helps

--------------------------------------

OBD1.5 16 pin /
pin4=Chasiss Grd.(Blk. Wire)
pin5=PCM Signal Grd.(Blk.W/Wht. Wire
pin6=160/canh+(Wht.W/Blk. Wire)
pin9=8192 (Tan w/Blk. Wire)
pin16=(12vdc)Orange wire
Jump 5+6 get code flashout, to clear out codes a scan
ner w/ OBD1/OBD2 protocals is needed with a GM
Specific (16 pin connector-Blue plug-in) or go to junk
yard and get a 12 pin ALDL and wire it like so.

( A to pin5, B to pin6, E to pin9, M to pin16)
Use the OBD1 connector on the 12 pin ALDL.

Les, that's my photo and handwriting.....it's exactly what I have....which is pretty much worthless...dang Chevy engineers!!!
i will be able this weekend take your info and find out if it can work....the abs lights came on then would go off, I kept thinking my batt or alternator was bad....tested switched and tested again.....no rhyme or reason. Until.....the rear flex line broke....then we fixed it...and found the abs system brain was dead....so, replaced it with a salvaged unit....it works, but now this abs light stays on....maybe a speed sensor somewhere???....they can be checked/tested....but if we could code the 1st....🤗
anyways.....I'll keep going....she still has a solid motor and tranny....so the little bugs need worked out.....
thanks again.....marc

I don't think the OBD 1.5 system is advanced enough for ABS codes - Its not really a OBD 1 or 2 kinnda in a throw back world of it's own .....

How I know that!!!....
"what we have here....is a failure to communicate". I had no idea in 95 how important it is to have a complete working computer system....it's back to shade tree diagnostics......like my buddies 85 Porsche.....computer/relays/fuses....and 20 miles of wiring....one loose ground...system failure!!!!☠️
