Default OBD II trouble shooting

Seems that my Actron code reader will not read anything for my Blazer, when plugged in, nothing comes up, it stays blank, with key off, in on position or running. The unit is good and works in other vehicles.
Anyone have ideas as to why this might be, is there a fuse or relay that might be out to cause this, possible short somewhere? n if so, where could I look, ya I know, a short could be anywhere in miles of wires, but maybe someone has an idea of a good place to look.
this truck does have a couple of electrical issues, that I will cover in new post, https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-generation-s-series-1995-2005-tech-41/trouble-shooting-interior-lights-55586/

Check your cigarette lighter fuse, it powers the OBDII diagnostic port. And include what you're driving in posts asking for advice, please.

Will check that out, and sorry, thought it was in my profile as to what I drive, 97 2dr 4x4 blazer. Will make sure it's in my sig. now on.

rriddle3, as posted in the link, which might of not been included when you replied to op. fuse #2 and associated wiring has issues, 1 of 3 cig ports only work, would you suggest I get under the dash and trouble shoot the other 2, to the best of my knowledge the wiring seems ok, only after market item is a stereo installed by previous owner, although right front and left rear speaker will not work, can't seem to chase those problems down either, all original speakers.
