A few things of note, went to a hose place, where they do fittings, replace hose and welding if necessary. $45 a hose. $180.

Went to another place, distrubtor place, got some 1/2" hose, and good quality clamps. $20 all in.

Junk yard hoses was from 1998 Jimmy or Blazer to fit my 1998 Blazer.
But the front desk states they can come off many different types of vehicles.

Another note is many junk yards will have people to take the part off, pay more. Havent looked into those prices yet.

I got 1.5 hrs in on the rental hoist today, the cause of my massive oil leak was a totally loose fitting that had probably 1 or 2 threads connected.

So 2 Jugs of oil totalling 10L of 5W30 oil ($25) and 1.5 hrs of rental hoist with cutter rental $40. I did buy 1/2" hose and good quality clamps from Greggs Distrubutors (Awesome store by the way, if you live in BC, AB or SK)

I feel stupid because I was down there looking at something else and I didnt clue in to finger tighten the connection.

I feel waaaaaay better now, I was absolutely dreading that block side connection work.

Procrastination and laziness on my part costs me money!

While down there I took a look at the brake line, strut and rear diff cover.
All leaking. All easy jobs, except for maybe bleeding the brakes, need an extra hand for that.

I guess it would be, its an oil hose. As long as its the right size, which for me was 1/2" and I would assume all others are 1/2" but you never know they do some quirky $h17. But I think you should only really pay $10 for all the hose line needed. Pay by the foot $1-$2/ft, x1.5ft x4 = $6-$12. But you'd be paying extra for shipping too. So lets say you are paying triple. So what $28 for 12' of hose, inc shipping. What a ripoff. If your out in the boondocks, go ahead. Otherwise hit up a place that sells hose.
