Default oil lines

I have a 2005 4wd 2dr Jimmy....I noticed while doing an oil change that the 2 oil lines that connect right where the oil filter screws on are cracked on the rubber portion.

What are these lines called ?

Looks like I can unmount them pretty easy from oil filter side....the back looks kind of tight....is it a pain ?

Sounds like your talking about the oil cooler lines, If so then ya
they are a pain. If I remember correctly you have to disconnect
driver side motor mount and raise the motor an inch or 2.
Not fun as I recall

I changed mine one time without disconnecting the motor mount (still a PITA) but eventually did the hose mod. Well worth the time to do so. No leaking issues since.

You can run without them too. A pf47 filter is required and a coupling to do so. I run synthetic and Im not worried about the oil coking with any excess heat.
