Hi all,
I'm trying to put in a re-manufactured engine replacement in a 1997 ZR2 blazer 4.3 vortec. Everything from the old engine swaps over. Went to bolt up the oil pan and the bolt holes aren't even close to lining up. Purchased the re-manufactured engine with the proper year. Enclosed paper work states this engine covers years 96 to 99. Sent VIN number per vendor's request as well. Can someone tell me what oil pan differences there are and what pan to poss get ? Or did I receive the wrong engine entirely? I'm hoping to just get the proper oil pan but I don't know which one to buy or where to purchase from. I am confused!?!

You might try looking at pictures of oil-pan gaskets for different years to see if you can figure out where the difference is.
