oil pressure and 4wd ?'s
1) what should the oil pressure read on my dashboard for a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer?
2) my 4wd goes in and out after having my engine rebuilt. I was told it was electronic. Does anyone know a cheap way to fix this. I've put over $1000 in the blazer already and can't afford to put much more.
Thank You

Oil pressure varies among specific vehicles. My 2000 when fully warmed up idles at 20lbs. and runs highway at 45 using 5w-30 Mobil1 synthetic. Thought it was low at first but 6 years later it's still running happily. Your 4WD, my thought is go back to your mechanic and tell him to check the vacuum lines, something isn't right.

My oil pressure sits at 40psi on idle and will jump to 60psi as soon as throttle is applied. I was a little concerned about this because my oil cooler return lines recently failed and dumped all my oil on the highway. I was forced to drive on the highway for about six more miles with little to no oil in the engine. Everything seems fine now though. I am having issues with my 4x4 also, I tried to use it a while ago, all it did was make a terrible clunking noise each tire rotation untill i stopped put it in park and put it back in 2HI. I have not tried it since.
I have a 98 4x4 4dr. ~116k mi
