Default Okay folks..need some serious help with an '98

Hey all. Im having some serious problems with my '98 s-10 blazer. I noticed it was having some transmission issues, and had the transmission rebuilt after finding out it was bad. However, I noticed after picking it up that it was no better than before. After a typical reaction of "those dang mechanics didnt fix squat", I calmed down and got the trouble codes checked. It was displaying codes P0101B, P0147B, P0171B, P0452B, and C0281. I was told I should replace the mass air flow sensor, and that that would help all but the last problem. So, I did..and the blazer is still shifting like crap. Now it's displaying codes P0101B, P0102B, P0102, and C0281. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be??

Thanks a ton!

check the mass air harness for cuts/issues.
check vac leaks?

i think the c0281 is brake switch related...check that under the dash behind brake pedal.

others may chime in. good luck

check the air plenum (peice between MAF and intake) for cracks. The C0281 is a brake switch code, do your brake lights work? When the 4.3 runs poorly the trans often feels like it is shifting poorly, but in reality its not its doing as it should but the engine isnt keeping its end of the bargain.

SOunds like a vacuum leak of sorts is going on
