Default Okay...I need help with the engine I'm going to put in my Blazer.

Alright, so I've got a 1996 S10 Blazer.

Now, I'm looking to put a 350 Vortec in it. The only thing is, I'm not sure about all the changes I'd have to make to the motor mounts, transmission, etc.

I've already accepted that I'll probably have to get a better transmission than the stock one, but my real question is how much would this run me? I've been looking for prices on a 350 Vortec, and I just haven't had much luck. I've probably got around 3,000 to spend. Not just on the engine, I'm also looking at a paint job and transmission as well.

So...I'm looking for a great V8. I've looked at a 327 too, I've heard that's a great engine. So could somebody help me? Maybe give me a good site, and some info to help me?
