Default overheated now it runs ruff, oil looks good

My wife was driving down the hi-way in her 98 4.3 4x4 blazier, temp shot up to 260 then went all the way back down truck just stopped, towed it home water pump was leaking, changed that and t-stat, now it barley starts, oil looks good, water was leaking out of tail pipe, tried block, head gasket sealer in my collant, after I flushed, still runs ruff won't idal, loss of power, Intake gasket?? or head gasket?? anyone have a wife who gave them a similar prob?? any sensors that would cause this?? thanks for any info, I thought about trading wife for new truck....

Been there, done that, got the new truck but lost the house!

How is the coolant level? I'd recommend a compression test to check the head gasket.

It definitely sounds like you blew a head gasket since water is coming out the tailpipe.

You can have an intake manifold gasket failure push coolant into the intake port... Since it was overheated, I would suspect the headgaskets as well.
