I am wondering how I can troubleshoot that problem? Where would you begin? I dont know if it is the water pump.

x3 it could be anything from a blown intake/head gasket to simple as needing coolant in the radiator. But without details we can't help you at all. Have you checked your coolant level? Is it full or empty?

start troubleshooting by checking your coolant level.... thats the first thing you should do. From there let us know whats going on by telling us if you have coolant, no coolant, if its overheating while driving or at a stop/idling.

i would say...lose of antifreeze points to leak.
and i am guessing since you didnt mention puddles that is either burning off or you have an internal leak.
exhaust look cloudy?
oil look like oil and not milkshake?
"a lot of antifreeze.." like a gallon a month...a week? (hope not)
smell of antifreeze when you are stopped?
spark plugs look "white" or wet at all?

info...we need some more.
not being picky...just need it to help you out.
little things could point us in one direction or another.

You can also check under the oil fill cap. If there is moisture in it you may have coolant leaking into the engine. Like the other guys said, more info would be helpful. Does the coolant fill the overflow tank, then spill onto the ground?

You can also get coolant into the crankcase through a failed intake manifold gasket.

As Kristoph stated, the LIM is a definite possibility. It is FAR more common to have a failed LIM dump coolant into the oil than have a head gasket failure on these engines.

A quick compression test would tell you whether you had a head gasket problem.
