Default P0300 Code [MISFIRES]

Recently fixed the cam sensor and got it connected (another thread linked below).

been working on my 2001 GMC Jimmy for a bit, it was in one front end collision and got it back to driving condition with a friend. Now getting problems back again.

I got read for misfires while working on my cam position sensor, hadn’t gotten a read in a good bit before that.

When replacing the distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires and sparks, was seen that the sparks were wet with gas. (Note: my current cap is ziptied down because in the front where the torx is supposed to mount into is cracked off)

Replaced fuel injector, the spider that was in it was burned up and shooting gas to the sparks. Got a fresh one in.

Worked that’s been done in between, the radiator had a crack busted in it, replaced that.

Symptoms of the Jimmy in current test drives:

-Trouble getting over hills
-Not getting nearly enough power
-RPMs seem to be going up higher than what they need
-Loss of power when moving it around the yard going very slow

First clear codes and report which ones come back during a couple of driving cycles. If you don't have your own scan tool, then get one and make sure it reads cam sensor retard (CMPRET). I can advise on inexpensive ones for your Android or iPhone that will read cam sensor retard and other GM Enhanced PIDs on your 2001 Blazer for around $35-$45.

Next, get a distributor coming. Lots of them new out there on Ebay for $40-$50. They are all metal construction.

Then we can start worrying about making your Blazer run right.

p.s. the "repair info" you posted above is complete B.S. for that set of failure codes. Always start diagnosis with the lowest numbered hard code.

Great! Until then... let me know when you are ready to report and we can go from there.
