good and bad.. well got the fpr $45 from napa autozone lists it but noone can find it...+ new cap $30 and rotor$10 and clean screen$8 all good and back together but now I have a p0306.... cylinder 6 misfire.. gunna pull plugs and i remember reading somewhere the crankshaft position sensor could be a culprit.... without having to search(which I'll prolly do right after i submit this) whats the procedure and does that sound feasible??? or possibly something else???

k swapping wires didnt work tho I have a new symptom.. decresed oil pressure and loud ticking... oil pressure hovering around 20-30 and ticking sounds like its coming from the front this wouldnt have anythign to do with me being an idiot and not doing an oilchange would it???.. and if so whats the deal with the decreased oil pressure.....btw still have cylinder 6 misfire.. but ticking sounds like its coming from the middle of the engine.. and I say ticking cuz its high pitched...not theclunk associated with piston or rod.... my second question could the oilchange have to do with the valves on cylinder 6(if anyone knows the oilgalley routing) causing the misfire...

okay well I when I went to restartthe truck I reved the engine a couple of times and the ticking cleared...(got happy).. knowing the short time it ran when I bought it... it ran mint... my friend suggested using the original spider... so as a last ditch effort I replaced the broken poppets with working ones.. replaced the fpr.. and rebuilt the original spider... after a couple of small mishaps...(broke another poppet, forgot to put on the fuel line retaining clip BIG MESS)... after that was done I pressurized the system.. everything held.. then drained the 3.5 qts that were in teh engine....which was quite thin due to fuel in the mix.. good thing autozone has a sale on castrol oil this month huh:-)... and got everything back together...got back in the car.... SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!.. I guess the #6 poppet on the junkyard one was no good(probably why they junked it)the engine idlewas nice and smooth...oil pressure was up ...no check engine lights exhaust has very little moisture..andmost importantly she runs.... THO there was the same issue when I bought it .. it stalled after about 5-7 min of idling... so my friend held the rpm to about 1,500 till it warmed up a bit and it stayed runnign the rest of the time on its own.....ULTIMATELY I'll have to brake down and get teh spider kit but FINALLYI know I have a car... nowjsut to get it inspected...( after the relearn period).. thanx for all the info.. hope everyone else has better luck than I have had lately:-)
