Default P0410. Solenoid Shot. What else?

Hello.

I had the P0410 two years ago and replaced the motor and maxi fuse as it was shot and full of water. I also redirected the inlet tube to avoid water entry. All good for nearly 2 years.

I've read the P0410 Explained several times and tried what I could to follow it. I have no Tech 1 or 2 or 3, n,n,n..., so I can not command sensor to do anything other than what they do (or supposed to do) with the usual normal start & run scenario.

About a month ago (when I wasn't getting P0304) I had the P0410 and noticed the maxi fuse was blown, so I replaced it and then checked the motor. No water and the motor ran several seconds upon start up as it should. I further investigated the fuse to the solenoid (good) and then hooked my multimetre to the solenoid lead (~12 V whilst pump ran, 0 V when pump shut off). I then took the solenoid off and noticed it is open all the time via blowing into an inlet and connecting/disconnecting to the battery. I also check the Air Shutoff valve and wonder if it is good. I can suck and suck on the tube and there appears to be no stoppage; however, if I blow into the tube there is a restriction. I apologise for my crude method; however, that is what I currently have to diagnose. The P0304 returned, therefore no P0410 for 3 weeks or so. The P0304 has (most likely momentarily) gone away and P0410 has returned. The maxi fuse is still good and the pump runs at start up as it should.

With this information:

1. The solenoid is obviously shot. Where can I get one? I've searched Advance, NAPA, Autozone and O'Reilly to no avail.

2. How can I better check the air shutoff valve?

2a. How do I remove the valve? The band clamps look like one time use. Do I cut the hose, hope I have enough hose left, and reconnect using standard hose clamps?

What else?

As always..Thanks!!

P.S. - When I first changed the maxi fuse 2 years ago (It immediately blew and then I changed the water logged motor and another fuse), It was a 40 AMP fuse, so I changed it with such. It seems like most literature say it is a 30 A. Is this true? I did purchase this Blazer used, so the previous owner (s) may have moved up to a 40.
