P0446 Evap Code
Hello,
Well I have a P0446 code popping up on my 2000 Chevy Blazer. I know it's an Evap Emissions problem and I've started researching how to fix it. If anyone can give me some tips on fixing the problem while saving money (hopefully a DYI job, avoiding a big time mechanic), that would be awesome.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I fear that I have to raise the truck up, which I don't have the capability to do, in order to fix the problem. Hopefully not.
Thanks in advance...

theres never really a answer for evap codes. when you bring it to a shop they will hook a scanner up and close the vent and then smoke the system with a machine and see where the smoke is leaking from.
i just searched that code on identifx and theres a pile of things it could be
3 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Ventilation Solenoid
1 - Fuel Filler Neck
1 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Hose(s)/Line(s)
1 - Evaporative Canister
maybe bring it somewhere see how much to just tell you whats wrong with and fix it yourself.
start with the most easiest. see if your gas cap seal is cracked

P0446 indicates there is an "EVAP vent circuit malfunction". This usually means electrical, but there could be a mechanical problem with the vent solenoid as well. The solenoid "lives" in an "unfriendly environment", (under the vehicle) and dirt can jam the valve. The flow chart in this link is straight from the GM "dealer issue" shop manual. Follow it, and it will take you right to the problem: https://blazerforum.com/forum/diagno...plained-35143/

P0446 Code 2000 Blazer
Hello all,
I have an Evap error code P0446 popping up on my '00 Blazer. I've researched the problem and I'm taking the truck into the shop tomorrow to have them first, let me know the exact problem (for there are many possibilities), second, hopefully fix it.
I'm asking for any advice from someone who's had the P0446 error code. How much should I expect to pay or is there a customary fee? What type of parts might I have to purchase? Etc....
Thanks in advance for any light you all can shed on the subject.
