Howdy.
I have had a check engine light on forever... old scans pointed to evap codes so i didnt' worry too much about it. It ususally turned off after a week or two and then in another week or two it would come back on. Lately it has been on solid. I bought a obdII to usb cable with Scanmaster software and scanned the truck today(99 blazer zr2) and it shows P044B. It's definitely a B and not an 8 on the screen. I see that there are different P044# codes but I can't find any with the B.
The other thing of note is I can clear it with scan master and it goes out until I turn the truck off and then start it again..the code returns.
Anyone have experience with Scanmaster?
