Default 08 1500 motor, will fit a 97?

i have a 97 blazer 4.3 vin w. i just purchased a 08 1500 4.3 engine. i was wanting to know what kind of problems (if any) will i have bolting it up. i know the manifolds are differant, but i have edelbrock headers on my truck now and iam putting a marine maifold on. is there any major differences in a 08 and a 97? thank you. all help is apreciated.

Default RE: 08 1500 motor, will fit a 97?

iam in the process of changeing motors now. i dont have alot of time so i can only do a little at a time. so far all that i see that is differant is the intake, knock sensor, and its a distributerless ignition. the intake is drive by wire. which is a easy fix with my marine intake. under the coil pack on the intake there is a plug that i pulled out. it turned out to be a bottom half of a distributer, so i wont have a problem with installing my old distributer. the knock sensor i will just splice in the plug to matchthe newone. i will post anymore problems that come up,that way if anyone else installs a new motor in their blazer, you will have a heads up on the mods needed to be done for the swap.
