Hi All

SES light is on and when I had the code read it was P1345 - crankshaft position/ camshaft postion correlation. I printed the instructions from here https://blazerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18508 . Steps 2, 4 and 5 say to use the scan tool to monitor the engine speed and camshaft retard.

What scan tool are they talking about? Where can I get one? Is this something that can be rented or must I buy one? (soon I'll have spent more on tools than the car is worth.)

Also step 7 says to check for proper distributor installation. Where can I find the info for checking this?
