Default P1345 code after replacing distributor

So one day, i woke up to start my 2000 blazer up and the next thing I know, it started to run very badly, and I didn’t know why. So I drove it to my work (I work at a shop) and code scanned it since it triggered a check engine light from running badly. It was random multiple misfires. And the strange thing is that I replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires about a year ago so I was stumped. I let the higher level techs inspect it and they said it was a distributor problem. After replacing the distributor, it ran fine and smooth. But, it takes forever for it to crank up. It feels like it’s gonna die but it never does. Just starting it is really rough. And the p1345 code pops up. I got a new crankshaft sensor but I don’t have the tools to do the reprogram. Anyone have any idea what is happening? Is the engine out of time some how? If anyone has any ideas why I’d appreciate it!!

Have You checked the fuel pressure at a schrader port? Maybe this is an initial problem?

Distributor is off a tooth. Only way to get a p1345 and still run. Very common mistake. Return the crank sensor.

I agree with Les. That is what I was going to respond. Distributor is off a tooth. If you drive it, it will be a dog, won't allow any timing advance. I had mine off a tooth when I stabbed my new one. Became really obvious when I drove it.

I kind of figured it was a distributor related problem. How would I adjust the tooth?

You will need to pull the distributor and re-install. Have to have number 1 cylinder top dead center and then line up the distributor and install. There are a couple of tricks that make it really easy if you have stock distributor based on markings on the shaft. I will try and post a link to a good video on YouTube when I have a chance.

first be sure the spark plug wire in their correct place , but I think the you set distributor in wrong place may be one or two tooth like Agile say
