Well i just replaced the EGR valve about 1000 miles ago, but apparently I'm getting a P1441 (EVAP system - no flow during purge cycle)
Should i just take it off and clean it, or what?

This code is for the Evaporative Emissions system, not the EGR system. The EVAP system controls the evaporative fuel vapors from the fuel tank by putting the fuel tank under vacuum
P1441 - EVAP System Continuous Open Purge Cycle Flow
This is mostlikely caused by a faulty EVAP purge valve.
Here are the schematics and diagnostic flow chart... Requires a Tech 1 scan tool though...

Thanks! Would Advanced Autoparts be able to tell me what was wrong, or do i need to go to a mechanic?

Advance Auto can only run for codes, they cant acually asess exacly what the problem is, you will have to find that out on your own or with a mechanic, but try on your own first.

No, advanced auto would not. At most they could tell you the code which you already know. As the diagnostic chart I posted above states, you need a tech 1 scan tool (dealer) to perform the proper diagnosis to determine the cause of the failure. As I said, it is mostlikely the purge solenoid.

Have you inspected the vacuum lines?

well i found what might be a hole in the hard plastic tubing, there was a bit of peeled back plastic and there was a darker shinier area around it, could that be a culprit? and where would i find that tubing at?

Probably not going to find that exact tube anywhere but a junkyard which you risk getting a brittle part that will fail as well. I would look into replacing the molded hard plastic line with rubber vacuum line of the appropriate size (ie. duplicate the original inside diameter if you can still get it to seal onto the respective ends).

well, now my blazer is just being stupid.... So i replace the solenoid, and the light keeps on, i drive home from the horse farm where i work, park and its still on. I leave for school and it goes off halfway to school. I drive back from school and BAM its back on.... So i reset my battery accidentally (i hadn't tightened it all the way apparently and it lost power when i jiggled it to move some cables around), and it stays off. I've driven it about 75 miles since it reset and it hasn't come back on. think im in the clear?
