Hey guys I am working on a 2001 blazer ls 4.3 and I need to figure out how to replace the passlock sensor I have the housing with new sensor from dorman and a a new electric ignition switch with the lock cylinder with keys the problem is it sometimes doesn't crank like it should I turned the key and it lights up but nothing happens so now I figure it is something electrical so I bought it all my problem is I think I need something to compress the lock plate and from what I've seen the newer cars have a weird lock plate for theft deterrent reasons is there a way around this I need insight any help would be much appreciated
