I have a related question:

There is thehose that goes from the top of the PCV valve to the throttle body. If I disconnect it at the PCV end or at the Throttle Body end, I do not feel any vacuum. Is this normal?

Thanks.

I have seen this problem on many of the 2001-ish model year blazers, It's somewhat normal for it to make the noise, but the reason it is transmitting the noise to the passenger compartment is because the throttle cable is contacting the PCV hose. Get a zip-tie and secure the cable away from the PCV hose and it will solve the problem.
Bingo! mine did the same thing so I used a peice of plastic from my 6 pack

If the engine is running then I do not believe this is normal. I am not sure what the amount of vaccum that should be there is but I know there should be some.
