Hoping some of the experts here recognize these.... today I replaced the parking brake assembly, and noticed these 2 unconnected items under the dash, driver's side

#1 is a black electrical connector, toward the middle of the pic, just above where the carpet stops (for reference, the bend of the brake pedal is on the right side of the pic)


#2 is a hose, shown dangling over the gas pedal


Can somebody tell me what they are and what they connect to?

(Note: I also replaced the heater core a couple years back, so these items are both probably loose from that)

I know the hose is from an air distribution vacuum actuator...just do not for sure which one. I think black switches between dash vents and defrost vent...but again not sure.

Sorry but no idea on the electrical connector.

By chance is that hose related to the a/c on the passenger side? Because very little air seems to come out of that side.

I'm not sure the electrical connector was ever connected to anything in mine, I can't seem to find anything that would match up to it.

Then again I couldn't find where to connect the hose either (didn't look super hard, spent a lot of time on the e-brake)

 

Is it possibly your courtisy bulb pigtail?

 

The black vacuum line comes from a black plastic split loom wire harness under the hood, on the left front wheel housing. It is a black plastic line that connects to a vacuum tee near the brake booster. There is a connector under the dash that your dangling line connects to, and then goes to port #6 of the mode switch in the dash. #7 in the diagram below shows the line:
